Serpentina Jaspe New Collection

DSC_0519 (1)One of the most fascinating techniques in weaving is called JASPE in Guatemala.

Imagine dyeing the threads -not the fabric- but the threads that will become a fabric, in just such a way that when the fabric is woven your design comes up, like magic.

This is a craft so fascinating that we decided to work with it and incorporate it into our collection of products.  With the help of Guatemalan designer Gabi Gomez, and our weaver from Sololá, Manuel we have given life to a fabric designed by us, for us and for you.

We call it “SERPENTINA” which evokes good times and parties and celebrations for we want to celebrate the knowledge of the artisans and share it with you.   We started with a neutral combination of gray and natural that will serve as a foundation to a growing collection of JASPE fabrics as we continue to celebrate the many talents of our artisans here in Guatemala.

The other one is a set of women accessories such as handbags, cosmetic bags, coin case and eyeglasses case that you can combine with any clothing.
