CASA DE LOS GIGANTES founded in 1963, was one of the first stores in Antigua to offer andicrafts from the highlands of Guatemala.
We have our own production of furniture and accessories for the home in native pine wood. We also commission artisans to produce wooden items in our own designs as well as their own traditional items.
We are proud to promote and offer store space to organized groups of artisan women in different areas of the country as well as different types of crafts such a textile and other natural fiber weaving, pottery, beading, stone carving.
MISSION STATEMENT
At Casa de los Gigantes, we are a family of artisans, whose mission is to create hand made items in earth-friendly materials for today’s world. We believe that our crafts will bring warmth and humanity to an increasingly technological and impersonal world, while at the same time providing our artisans a dignified way of living.
